Cast & combination chain
Cast, malleable and combination chains for slow, heavy and abrasive duties (water treatment, bucket elevators and rugged conveying), supplied to order with sprockets to match.
Where precision chain is the wrong answer
Some duties destroy precision roller chain and never notice cast chain: grit-laden water treatment scrapers, bucket elevators, slow drag conveyors in the dirtiest corners of a plant. Cast and combination construction trades speed for toughness: simple, detachable, tolerant of abrasion and corrosion, and cheap to maintain link by link.
- Cast combination and pintle-type patterns, supplied to order
- Identified from the link stamping, a sample or a photo
- Matched sprockets supplied with the chain
- Similar duty, different construction: drop-forged link chain is the one-piece forged alternative
Cast links usually carry their pattern number in the casting. A photo of the stamping and a pitch measurement is normally all we need to quote a replacement.
Got a cast chain to replace?
Send a photo of the stamping, the pitch measurement or the application, and we will identify it and quote.
Straight answers
What is cast chain used for?
Cast and combination chains suit slow, heavy, abrasive duties: water treatment scrapers and rakes, bucket elevators, and rugged agricultural and process conveyors, where a detachable, corrosion-tolerant construction outlasts precision roller chain.
Can you match an existing cast chain?
Usually. Send the link stamping, a photo next to a rule, or a sample link. Cast chains follow recognised patterns, and the stamping plus pitch identifies most of them.
Is cast chain held in stock?
No. Cast and combination chains are supplied to order. Tell us the pattern or application and we will quote with availability and lead time.
